About Datashiil
Bridging international best practice with Somalia’s local realities
From Recognized Need to Trusted Partner
Datashiil was born out of a recognized need: that Somalia’s development sector was generating vast amounts of data but lacked the specialized capacity to collect it rigorously, manage it securely, analyze it meaningfully, and use it effectively for decision-making.
Our founders — a multidisciplinary group of data scientists, development specialists, and education experts — came together to change this. From our first engagement, we brought not just technical expertise but a genuine commitment to the communities we serve.
Today, Datashiil is trusted by CARE International, Creative Associates International, DT Global / USAID, the Federal Ministry of Education, multiple Federal Member State directorates, and a growing roster of government and civil society partners.
